The New Wave Soft Hackle Streamer differs from the original Soft Hackle Streamer only in that it has a very soft collar of marabou and hackle instead of a mallard collar.

This fly is one of my favorite small streamers for both fresh and salt water, taking fish wherever fish take streamers.

Tied on a regular-shank, super-sharp Daiichi steelhead/salmon hook for fast-sinking and sure hooking.

Note: Where two colors describe the fly (e.g. chartreuse and white) the first color describes a "topping" color and the second color describes the predominant color of the fly. "Blend" refers to two hackle colors being wound on together to form a blend. The accompanying image is an example of a red/yellow blend.
