One of my earlier patterns, dating back to the late 60's/early 70's, the Pheasant Caddis is a semi-realistic caddis pattern with a "tented" wing tied with a rust-brown pheasant feather cupped over the body, making for a lifelike imitation of a larger caddis at rest.

Tied with stiff dry fly hackle, this fly is also a good "skittering" pattern.
