Sand Eels are found in many colors and shades, with darker sand eels being generally found over dark bottoms and lighter sand eels over light bottoms and fly choice should be made accordingly. The FishHead Sand Eel has a tailwing of long, thin saddle hackles. I generally fish it when I want a particularly active sand eel imitation.
