The Floating Crab is extremely effective for stripers, bonito, false albacore, tarpon, snook, redfish, sea trout, and many other game fish that feed on crabs, often taking fish when no other fly will. Fish this fly also when fish are feeding on masses of shrimp or amphipods.

Sizes 6, 4, and 2 are best for stripers Sizes 8 and 6 best for bonito, false albacore, redfish and sea trout. Sizes 4, 2, and 1 are best for tarpon and snook.
