Elk Hair Tailing Fly Essentially an Elk Hair Caddis turned on its head and tied on a salt water hook, this is one of my earliest bonefish patterns and a favorite for fishing very shallow water when I want a fly that lands softly and sinks slowly.

Especially useful when bonefish are tailing or slowly cruising the shallows. May even be fished on the surface if you have the patience to try to take a bone "on top." First color refers to the wing color, second to the body and hackle color.

Recommended Sizes:  4, 6, 8,

Recommended Colors:  light elk/cream, light elk/olive, light elk/orange, light elk/tan,
