Gizzard Gurgler The Gizzard Gurgler is a floating representation of the gizzard shad, a common baitfish found in many lakes around the country.

Tied in a Double-Gurgler style (2 layers of foam), with a tail and hackle ribbing of white marabou, this fly attracts fish through not only its general shape but in the commotion the raised lip creates as the fly is being moved along the surface to imitate a crippled baitfish.

Especially effective on freshwater stripers (wipers)and other gamefish that feed on gizzard shad--or whenever a large and wide surface fly might do the trick. Fly is approximately 4" long and 3" wide, a meaty fly indeed. Tied on a Daiichi saltwater hook for use in both fresh and salt water.
