The BeastMaster General is a tantalizing mouthful with real fish-getting action. This is one of my very favorite flies and often the first one I tie on when beginning the day's fishing. It's my first choice when searching for large fish.

With its long and enticing tailwing and fore-and-aft marabou hackling and a head of trimmed deer hair that pushes water and creates fish-attracting vibrations, this fly tied on a long-shank hook does it all! Fish it on top, pull it under, skitter it hop-skipping across the surface and expect some wild action.

Where two colors describe the fly the first color describes a "topping" color and the second describes the predominant color of the fly or the tailwing.
