The Soft Hackle Deceiver is an all-around streamer tied in "New Wave"-style to generally represent some of the more common baitfish found in the salt.

Tied on a regular-shank saltwater Daiichi hook with either saddle or neck feathers for a tailwing and a collar of soft marabou, this fly has an action in the water that fish just can't resist.

Where two colors are used to describe the pattern (e.g., red/yellow) the first color describes the color of the marabou topping; the second color describes the predominant color of the fly, that is, of the tailwing feathers and/or marabou hackling.
