Silversides are among the most abundant baitfish along the northeast coast.

Although I really prefer the flatwing Silversides Gurgler--because of the extra action in the tail--when stripers are feeding on small to medium-sized silversides you can still expect to catch a lot of fish on this fly.

Tied on a long-shank saltwater hook, with a fairly narrow double layer of foam and a sparse tail of bucktail mixed with pearl GSS.
