In the opinion of many anglers, the Letort Cricket is the most effective cricket pattern yet devised.Tied first for fishing spring creeks, this fly is useful wherever crickets are found--and find their way onto the water.

This is my own version of the classic pattern, tied with a wing of varnished black-dyed pheasant and a body of black dubbing mixed with peacock GSS (Gartside's Secret Stuff).
