The Pheasant Hopper is one of my oldest and best-known patterns. An extremely effective hopper imitation, the Pheasant Hopper has been catching trout-and other fish--for over thirty-five years now.

Designed to float low on the surface, it may also be fished beneath the surface to suggest a drowned grasshopper by adding a split-shot to your leader.

Since the Pheasant Hopper is fairly difficult and time-consuming for me to tie at present, I've raised the price considerably so that you may now consider it a "collectible."
